Inhalation with the Ventolin HFA 90mcg inhaler requires one puff of the inhaler in a week's time and this puff is usually sufficient to relieve symptoms for up to 12 hours. However, some people may experience a mild or transient asthma attack or exacerbation of their asthma symptoms. If you notice symptoms of an asthma attack or exacerbation, seek medical advice immediately.
Warnings
Do not exceed the recommended dose. Excessive use can be harmful and increase the risk of heart attack, stroke or liver damage. Contains lactose.
Ingredients
Active ingredient: salbutamol, isopropyl alcohol, sodium hydroxide, purified water.
Directions
Remove the cap from the inhaler. Hold the push-through valve to open and inhale through the opening. Do not use more than 1 puff in 24 hours. Do not use more than 6 doses in 24 hours. Do not use more than 4 doses in 24 hours.

Talk to your doctor as soon as possible if you feel your heart is beating faster or stronger than usual (palpitations). This is usually harmless, and usually stops after you have used the medicine for a while. You may feel your heartbeat is uneven or it gives an extra beat, these may affect up to 1 in 10 people.

I've been having a bad experience with my inhaler lately. I have been prescribed two Ventolin inhalers, both of which have been effective for some time. However, the Ventolin inhaler was not effective for me. I was wondering if there was anything I can do to enhance its effectiveness?
